The exact scope, deliverables, standards, responsibilities, schedule and commercial terms of each project must be established separately in a written quotation, proposal, contract, purchase order or other project-specific agreement.

2. Business Use

GMD Engineering primarily provides services on a business-to-business basis.

By submitting a project enquiry or engaging our services on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that:

  • You are authorised to represent that organisation;
  • The information you provide is accurate and complete;
  • You have the right to share any drawings, models, specifications or other project materials submitted to us; and
  • Your proposed project and intended use of our services comply with applicable laws and regulations.

Submitting an enquiry through this website does not automatically create a contractual relationship between you and GMD Engineering.

3. Website Information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that the information published on this website is accurate and current. However, website content is provided for general informational purposes only.

Website content must not be treated as:

  • A final engineering recommendation;
  • A certified calculation;
  • A manufacturing instruction;
  • A safety assessment;
  • A quotation or binding commercial offer; or
  • A substitute for project-specific professional engineering review.

Images, renderings, animations, diagrams, calculations and project descriptions displayed on the website may be simplified, edited or presented for illustrative purposes.

We may update, correct, remove or replace website content at any time without prior notice.

4. Project Enquiries and Quotations

You may contact us through our website, email, telephone or other approved communication channels to request information or a quotation.

Unless otherwise stated in writing:

  • Quotations are based on the information available at the time they are prepared;
  • Quotations remain valid only for the period specified in the quotation;
  • Prices may change if the project scope, technical requirements, schedule or deliverables change;
  • Estimated schedules begin only after the required information and agreed payment have been received; and
  • Taxes, bank fees, third-party costs, travel expenses and additional services may be charged separately when applicable.

A quotation or proposal becomes binding only after acceptance through the method specified in that document and completion of any required advance payment or project commencement conditions.

5. Project-Specific Agreements

Engineering projects may be governed by one or more separate documents, including:

  • A service contract;
  • A signed quotation or proposal;
  • A purchase order accepted by GMD Engineering;
  • A non-disclosure agreement;
  • A technical specification;
  • A scope-of-work document;
  • A project appendix or addendum; or
  • Written project instructions accepted by both parties.

If there is any conflict between these website Terms and Conditions and a project-specific written agreement, the project-specific agreement will take precedence for that project.

6. Client Responsibilities

To allow us to perform engineering services properly, clients are responsible for providing accurate and timely information, including where relevant:

  • Product and process requirements;
  • Loads, speeds, cycle times and operating conditions;
  • Available factory space and interface dimensions;
  • Existing drawings, models and technical documentation;
  • Applicable laws, standards and site-specific requirements;
  • Required file formats, software versions and drawing standards;
  • Manufacturing capabilities and tolerances; and
  • Timely review, feedback and approval.

GMD Engineering is not responsible for delays, errors or additional costs resulting from incomplete, inaccurate, outdated or late information provided by the client or third parties acting on the client’s behalf.

Changes to approved requirements may require an adjustment to the price, schedule or deliverables.

7. Engineering Review and Manufacturing Responsibility

Our engineering work is prepared based on the agreed scope and the information supplied by the client.

Unless expressly included in a project-specific agreement, our services do not include:

  • Physical manufacturing or installation;
  • Site supervision;
  • Certification by a locally licensed engineer;
  • Regulatory approval;
  • CE marking or other product certification;
  • Final machine commissioning;
  • Operator training;
  • Electrical or PLC programming;
  • Independent safety validation; or
  • Verification of client-selected or supplier-selected components.

Before manufacturing, installation or operation, the client and its manufacturer must review all drawings, dimensions, tolerances, materials, interfaces and bills of materials.

The client remains responsible for ensuring that the completed machine or system complies with all laws, safety requirements and technical standards applicable at the place of manufacture, installation and operation.

No machine, mechanism or lifting system should be manufactured or operated solely on the basis of general information published on this website.

8. Revisions, Approval and Acceptance

The number of revisions, review stages and acceptance procedure for a project will be defined in the applicable quotation, proposal or contract.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • Revision requests must remain within the approved scope;
  • New requirements or changes to previously approved work may be treated as additional services;
  • The client must review submitted deliverables within the agreed review period;
  • Comments should be consolidated and communicated clearly in writing; and
  • Final acceptance does not remove the client’s responsibility to verify the design before manufacturing and operation.

Specific acceptance periods, warranty obligations and post-delivery support will be governed by the applicable project agreement.

9. Fees and Payment

Project fees, currency, payment schedule and payment method will be stated in the applicable quotation, invoice or contract.

Unless otherwise agreed:

  • Payments must be made without unauthorised deductions or set-offs;
  • The client is responsible for its bank charges and intermediary transfer fees;
  • Work may be paused when an invoice becomes overdue;
  • Delivery of final editable files may be conditional upon receipt of the applicable payment; and
  • Additional work outside the agreed scope may require a separate quotation or written approval.

Any refund, cancellation or termination entitlement will be determined by the applicable project agreement and the amount of work already performed.

10. Intellectual Property

10.1 Website content

Unless otherwise stated, all original content on this website—including text, graphics, page layouts, illustrations, engineering renderings, animations, branding and downloadable materials—is owned by or licensed to GMD Engineering.

You may view and print website content for legitimate internal business evaluation. You may not reproduce, publish, sell, distribute, modify or commercially exploit it without prior written permission.

  • Other background intellectual property.

The client retains ownership of the materials and confidential information it provides to GMD Engineering.

No intellectual property transfer should be assumed merely because files have been shared for review or because an advance payment has been made.

11. Confidentiality

We handle client information with reasonable care and may enter into a separate non-disclosure agreement before confidential project materials are shared.

Confidentiality obligations for a specific project will be governed by the applicable NDA or project agreement.

We will not intentionally publish identifiable client drawings, confidential technical information or project materials without authorisation or another lawful basis.

Clients must clearly identify particularly sensitive information and use appropriate secure transfer methods when required.

12. Portfolio and Project References

GMD Engineering will not publicly disclose confidential project information in violation of an applicable NDA or written confidentiality obligation.

Any publication of a client’s name, logo, confidential drawings or identifiable project information is subject to the permissions and restrictions agreed for that project.

Where permitted, project examples may be anonymised, simplified or modified to protect confidential information.

13. Third-Party Software and File Compatibility

Our deliverables may be created using software such as Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, SolidWorks or other engineering applications.

The client is responsible for confirming required:

  • Software names and versions;
  • Native and exchange file formats;
  • Licence availability;
  • File compatibility; and
  • Third-party component availability.

We cannot guarantee that native files will retain every feature when opened in a different software version or converted into another format.
